RHS Orchid House

For the first time this year we will have the RHS Orchid House at BBC Gardeners’ World Live.  This feature will welcome you as you enter hall 19, and will comprise of Gold medal winning exhibitors, plant societies, orchid related sundries & accessories, educational displays and a demonstration & talks area.  So visitor will be able to find out all they need to know about orchids and how to look after them. 

The feature includes:

Dave Parkinson Plants featuring a colourful display of the South African Disa Orchids which have a long lasting flower and originate from Table Mountain in South Africa.

David Stead Orchids, with Vandas forming the heart of the display.

Demonstration area with potting demonstrations and talks from our experienced orchid specialists on culture, propagation and care of orchids.

Deva Orchids with an extensive range of tropical species & hybrids.

Orchids by Peter White showing many new unusual plants from their collection.

Writhlington Business and Enterprise School are to provide an educational display demonstrating the effects on Orchids of deforestation from Central America.  The school's orchid growers have become a familiar sight at major shows around the country.  Students have gained a reputation for well grown plants, professional displays and giving knowledgeable advice to their orchid growing public.
