Family Weekend
Make it a family day out! On Saturday and Sunday, any paying adult can bring up to two children under 16 to the Show, absolutely FREE! Children under 5 come free to the show each day.

The brand new Gardeners' Green feature will be sure to keep the kids entertained at the weekend. Come along and
- Take part in Art in the Garden, using plants and nature as inspiration these workshops will engage visitors of all ages
- Have your face painted!
- Boogie to live music from jazz and steel bands playing cheerful summer music throughout the day
- Watch characters being made out of baloons infront of your very eyes, and is that a coin behind you ear? Be amaxed by the magicians entertaining visitors.
- Bring a picnic to enjoy on the green, and of course, what summer day would be complete without a cone, double scoop and a flake!!
Visit the Mamas and Papas Parenting Room for all you and your babies needs whilst visiting the show.
Be sure that you and your children find The Next Generation of Gardeners’ stand featuring the RHS Garden Explorers and the RHS ‘Getting Schools Growing’ campaign (click here for more details on the 'Getting Schools Growing' campaign) with activities to get your kids involved running all week.
Walt Disney are bringing to life the magic of The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian in a garden. Families will have the chance to step into the enchanted world by visiting the Prince Caspian garden inspired by the film which is released in the UK on the 26th June.
Join the friendly team from Spotty Otter who will be hosting a 'How Many Bugs in the Jugs?' competition and a Jungle Challenge competition just for the kids with fantastic prizes including Spotty Otter gear up for grabs on stand H341.
Be there at the launch of Soil for Sadie, the first book in a new series by Walwyn Rose at the Show. Christine Walkden, presenter of the BBC programme Christine’s Garden has reviewed Soil for Sadie and says: This story about a young girl’s joy at growing flowers will captivate children. I am sure this little book will give parents, grandparents and teachers the ideal tool with which to capture a child’s imagination and get them gardening.
