Here's a taster of what was at the 2011 Show:
Gardeners' Green
On Saturday and Sunday, Gardeners' Green was a hub of family activities and entertainment. We had giant garden games, pot planting, face-painting, Punch & Judy and loads more fun family activities and entertainment.
Gardeners’ World Magazine Theatre
You would have experienced live demonstrations from all your favourite gardening experts including Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh, Carol Klein, Joe Swift offering their pearls of horticultural presentations in the Gardeners’ World Magazine Theatre.
RHS Floral Marquee
Here you could meet the growers and discover their top tips to growing their plants successfully. It was like the farmers' market of the horticultural world! With over 100 specialist growers the RHS Floral Marquee was big, bold and beautiful, making the Show the best gardening exposition you have ever seen!
Show Gardens
Whatever your garden style, the Show provided something for everyone – from contemporary chic to cottage romance, our Show Gardens were packed with inspirational features that you could recreate in your patch at home. It was the perfect inspiration for the perfect gardening gift to your loved ones!
Plant Avenue
Here you would have found bustling nursery stands selling beautiful plants. It was just the place to pick up show bargains, and chat to nursery owners about how best to care for your new purchases. There were even more gardening gifts to choose from, adding the finishing touch to your family day out in Birmingham!
Grow Your Own Live Garden
This was an interactive gardening feature where you and your family could watch top gardening experts reveal handy hints and tips on how to produce delicious home-grown fruit and veg! It was a great place for all the family to visit and the perfect excuse to go green!
Birmingham Borders
The Birmingham Borders was the place to go if you had a small garden and were looking for inspiration and practical ideas. Created by horticultural students and budding gardeners.
Ask the Experts
If you had a burning gardening question this was the place to take it? At our Ask the Experts Stage we had specialists from all areas of horticulture, cultivation, landscaping and pure gardening on hand giving answers and advice.
Edible Patches
Here you saw home-grown fruit and veg at its finest, this unique place was an opportunity to inspire and educate budding gardeners, it was a brand new gardening activity for all the family!
Countryfile Magazine Area
This was located in BBC Gardeners’ World Live, the Countryfile Magazine Area played host to a variety of features designed to inform and educate, not only on the beauty of the UK 's wildlife, but also how we can appreciate and preserve it.
If you are a fan of the great British landscape, cultivation and countryside, then this area was dedicated to you!
