Birmingham Borders are unique to BBC Gardeners’ World Live providing an opportunity for horticultural students and budding gardeners to experience the design, planning and build of a horticultural exhibit in a show environment, without the large financial and resource commitment of a show garden.
Borders consist of a raised bed which will be pre-prepared ready for planting when exhibitors arrive on site. Birmingham borders are judged for RHS medals and are always a popular feature with visitors, their size enabling them to visualise ideas for their own gardens.
