The Countryfile Magazine Area was dedicated to those who enjoy the Great British countryside and the wildlife that inhabits it.

The area centred around our specialist Countryfile Magazine Stage sponsored by Renault hosting a great selection of BBC1's Countryfile presenters including Julia Bradbury, Matt Baker, John Craven and Adam Henson plus special Ecobeebies sessions over Family Weekend.

The Countryfile Magazine Area also played host to a variety of features designed to inform and educate, not only on the beauty of the UK 's wildlife, but also how we can appreciate and preserve it, including:

The RHS Wildlife Feature - Discover microscopic pond life, captivating creepy crawlies, the plight of the UK’s bees, our remarkable Birdlife and how to attract Bats into your garden when you meet industry experts in the gardening for wildlife area. Get interactive at RHS6d where top wildlife organisations will be running hands on activities for all.

The British Beekeepers' Association - visitors learnt all about the importance of keeping our bees in good health at the British Beekeepers' Association stand and enclosed demonstration hive

Enjoy and encourage bats in your garden with help from the Bat Conservation Trust. BCT were a new participant in the wildlife feature. Their display was focused on gardening to save Britain’s bats; this consisted of planting, structures and ideas for how to encourage and enjoy bats in the garden. A wide range of plants that attract bats into the garden were on display and discussed.

A number of UK destinations and attractions were represented in the Countryfile Magazine Area. Regional destinations such as Worcestershire, Yorkshire South and Wiltshire all combined to showcase some of the exciting attractions it hosts. Whether it be from historic castles to beautiful landscapes, from outdoor activities to remote getaways, Countryfile endeavours to have it covered.
