 Biography

Julia presents the BBC1 series Countryfile in which she and her co-presenters explore the rural issues and British countryside every week. The shows success alongside her popular walking series Railway Walks (BBC2 and BBC4) and Wainwright Walks (BBC4) has cemented Julia's position as the face of the outdoors. Julia has also presented Watchdog, anchoring the programme for 5 years alongside Nicky Campbell.

In autumn 2009 Julia and fellow Countryfile presenter Matt Baker were amongst 12 celebrities racing against time to raise money for Children In Need. Around the World in 80 Days offered a visually stunning circumnavigation of Planet Earth, re-enacting the epic odysseys of Phileas Fogg and Michael Palin for the 21st Century Audience.

Julia will once again be presenting the controversial food series Kill it, cook it, eat it, which examines the nation’s relationship with meat 'from farm to fork’. Series 4 was filmed in autumn 2009 and is currently airing on BBC Three.
