Kelvin’s initial passion for gardening bloomed from helping his Father in the garden from the age of 12. They grew vegetables on a grand scale together and spent many hours working to maintain lawns and flower beds. After getting a summer job with Staffordshire County Council, maintaining local playing fields and grounds, he ended up in a full time position with the opportunity to attend the local horticultural college. Whilst studying, he was seconded to various departments within the Council including plant propagation, display work, playing field construction and drainage.
