A visitor to Audley End’s Jacobean-style parterre is likely to be inspired by the colourful and vibrant, Victorian formal bedding.
This border was designed to show how the same effect can be evoked in a small space, without the use of annuals or the need for frequent watering, in what is becoming an increasingly dry climate.
