‘FreeThinking’ creates a dynamic space with contrasting textures and varying intensity of colour. Modern life can mean that we are bound by many constricts and the garden offers a way to escape and relax. The design reflects this idea with a juxtaposition of rigidity in the hard landscaping and movement in the planting.
Drawing the eye in, contrasting metal work frames the planting, including an Euonymus alatus and grasses with different heights. A central water feature allows for physical and contemplative reflection.
Inspired by David Tremlett’s ‘Drawing for Free Thinking’, this border has decisive rectilinear outlines, layered with harmonising shades.
