Oyster Mushroom Workshop
Grow your own was in abundance in the Oyster Mushroom Workshops at the BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair.
Brought to the Fair by Jodie and Lorraine of the Sussex-based Caley Brothers, this workshop teaches visitors how to grow their own oyster mushrooms at home.
Attendees also received a kit to help get them growing on their own coffee grounds or alternative substrate. The team cover all aspects of growing mushrooms and answer any questions along the way.
The Caley Brothers aim to connect people to the world of fungi and growing gourmet mushrooms in an easy and accessible way. What’s more, all their mushrooms are grown sustainably on repurposed coffee grounds and their ready to grow are consciously designed to be recycled, composted or reused.
