RSPB Wildlife Residencies

1-featuredimage

The RSPB Wildlife feature will consist of 3 key habitats; garden (urban), woodland and coastal. Each of these areas will discuss the importance of the different habitats, with particular focus on the garden area, with the aim to provide ideas that people can recreate in their own space. Everything from tyre planters to homes for wildlife. You’ll come away with heaps of ideas to make your garden a haven for wildlife!

If all of this wasn’t enough, RSPB Wildlife are also key contributors to our Children’s Trail, so stop by to learn more about wildlife and allow your children to be inspired by nature.

RSPB Children's Activities at the Show

RSPB are a key contributor to our Children’s Trail at the Show this year, they will be including 4 educational and fun elements:

  • Nature wall - a magnetic wall depicting a woodland, where children can stick magnetic animals and insects to, creating their own habitat full of wildlife. This has the aim to encourage reintroducing species into their natural environment and indicates some of the species supported by a woodland.

  • A Bug Hotel – This feature will be 1msq, in which children can add elements to contribute to their home. Children will leave feeling inspired to create a smaller scale bug hotel of their own at home.

  • Wheel of Wildlife Fortune – a classic game with a wildlife twist. Children will spin the wheel for it to land on species. This will reveal plenty of ideas as to how to attract that species to their garden.

  • Get your photograph taken as a wildlife species – a take on the classic seaside photo opportunity – pop your head through the hole to pose as a wildlife creature and snap up the perfect photo!
