FAQS - Spring Fair

What are the opening and closing times of the Fair?

Fair opening times
Friday 28 - Sunday 30 May 2021 

10am - 6pm

Beaulieu grounds and gardens will be accessible from 9.30am, however you will be able to enter BBC Gardeners' World Spring fair from 10am.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets to the BBC Gardeners' World Spring Fair are now on sale.

Do Beaulieu gift aid annual Pass holders receive a discount?

Yes, holders of a Beaulieu gift aid annual pass to the National Motor Museum can upgrade their gift aid pass to visit BBC Gardeners’ World Fair Spring. For more information or to book, head to the Beaulieu website here.

What is the transaction fee and when does it apply?

The transaction fee is £3.50 for E-Ticket or £4.50 for Standard Postal Delivery. This is charged per order, not related to the number of tickets purchased. 

The Transaction Fee contributes to the cost of delivering the tickets, whether it is through the post, electronically or collecting at the venue. The Transaction Fee also contributes to other operational costs and overheads associated with ticket admin e.g. ticket stock administration and inventory control, ticket stock/stationery, collection facilities and postage and/or packaging costs.

Do you have special rates for children?

Children aged 0 – 5 are free every day. Children aged 5– 16 prices can be seen on the  Ticket Information page.

I am registered disabled, do you have disability rate tickets?

Any visitor who is registered disabled is able to purchase a concessionary ticket plus claim a free ticket for a carer to accompany them to the Fair. Please contact the Box Office on 0844 995 9654 and they will be happy to help! If you have already booked your ticket and want to request a carer ticket, please fill out this form with your request.

Ticket prices are as follows:
Tickets for Adults with disability - £14
Tickets for Child (5-16) with disability - £7

Do I have to wear a face mask?

Visitors will be required to wear a face-covering per any Government guideline in place at the time of the Fair. Currently, visitors are required to wear a face-covering if they wish to enter any of Beaulieu’s indoor spaces, including Visitor Reception, the National Motor Museum and Palace House. (Excludes whilst being seated inside the Brabazon Restaurant)

What extra safety measures will be taken to ensure visitors and staff are protected?

What measures do you have in place to ensure visitors observe social distancing?

We will be using signage where appropriate to indicate best practice for social distancing. Dedicated safety officers will be present at the Fair at all times so they can make sure the latest guidelines are followed by all visitors. What will your staff do if visitors are seen not observing social distancing?

Our expectation is that all visitors will observe social distancing, to protect themselves and each other.  Should you have any concerns about any behaviour at the Fair please inform any of the stewards or visit the Customer Services Tent at the entrance to the event field.

How will you be managing the toilets?

We have increased the number of toilets that are available at Beaulieu and have added them into the event field.  Queuing will be controlled to allow visitors to socially distance and the units will be serviced by a dedicated attendant.  All toilets in the event field will be stocked with hand sanitiser. Additional single portable toilet units will be located in the event field with a dedicated attendant for servicing.

Will stall holders be wearing PPE?

All stall holders are required to undertake a comprehensive COVID risk assessment and where appropriate – particularly where closer contact with members of the public is required – may be using PPE or working behind screens, for their protection and to protect visitors.

Is there parking?

You can park your car for free in Beaulieu's car parks which can hold up to 1,000 cars. Beaulieu also have overflow car parks for busy event days. If parking next to a car that is arriving or departing at the same time, we ask that you give each other time and space. There is a separate car park for disabled visitors, near to Visitor Reception. When will my tickets arrive?

If you select an e-ticket you will immediately receive your tickets by email, which you can print straight away.

Alternatively if you opt for tickets to be sent by post, they should arrive no later than 2 weeks before the Fair. 

Will there be food and drink at the Fair?

Yes, there will be lots of food and drink available at the Fair, plus tasty treats for you to buy and take home. For more information, take a look at the BBC Good Food Market page. 

Can I bring food and drink?

Yes you can bring your own food and drink to the Fair however there are many fantastic vendors we would love you to try instead! Full Exhibitor list coming soon. 

Is there wheelchair hire available?

Beaulieu have a limited number of manual wheelchairs and electric scooters available to hire, free of charge. These are subject to availability and it is advisable to book these in advance by calling 01590 614646 between 10:00am - 5:00pm. Please note that to ensure the safety of visitors, the use of personal customised mobility vehicles is at our discretion.

Will I get a refund if the Fair doesn't go ahead?

We would like to reassure you that we are committed to putting on a fantastic day out for you at the BBC Gardeners' World Spring Fair. We’ll be operating under Covid-secure measures so you have peace of mind that you can enjoy the Fair within the parameters of government guidelines. Please note that in the event that the BBC Gardeners' World Spring Fair is postponed, cancelled or River Street Events and Immediate Media deem it unsafe to run the event in light of UK Government and Public Health England guidelines regarding Covid-19, you will be contacted directly with regards to transferring your booking to a future date or requesting a refund. Please note: refunds exclude the transaction fee and See Tickets Refund Protection cost.

Is there anywhere to store shopping bags?

Yes, there will be a plant crèche and Shop 'n' Drop available at the Spring Fair. More info coming soon.

Are dogs permitted at the Fair?

Yes, dogs are permitted to the Spring Fair, however they will need to be kept on a lead at all times.

Are there cash machines on site?

There are no cash machines on site. Some producers don’t accept cards, so be sure to bring enough cash with you!
