Palace House

In an idyllic New Forest setting, overlooking the picturesque Beaulieu River millpond, Palace House was remodeled and extended during the 1800s and is now a fine example of a Victorian country house. Inside, its ecclesiastical heritage sets the grand gothic tone for a home bristling with character and adorned with family treasures, portraits, and memorabilia.

Woodland Walk and The Millpond

Step off the central pathway to enjoy views across the tidal Beaulieu River from this meandering route. You’ll pass ancient oak trees and thick reed beds, both home to a variety of New Forest bird life.

Little Beaulieu adventure playground

Little Beaulieu is the perfect place for children to let their imagination run wild. Brand new in 2020, this wooden replica of Palace House is the perfect place for kids to burn off some steam. Highlights include secret passageways, epic climbing walls and an exhilarating zip wire.

Who owns the Beaulieu estate?

British peer Ralph Douglas-Scott-Montagu owns the Beaulieu Estate. His father Edward founded the National Motor Museum in 1952, as a tribute to his own father, who was a pioneer of motoring in the UK and supposedly introduced Edward VII to the world of cars in the 1890s.
