This garden explores the creation of a Nordic retreat within an urban environment to relax, unwind and rejuvenate.

The Nordic theme within the garden is created through simple geometry and a palette of natural hard landscaping materials creating a minimalist space. The retreat theme creates an experience of moving back to nature and a temporary respite from the urban environment.

This garden will create a calming and therapeutic effect on the user as they enter and experience their very own Nordic Retreat where modern living meets calm. The outdoor living spaces combine modern and rustic styles through the combinations of hard and soft landscaping as well as other garden features.

Facing South‐East, the garden will capture the sun throughout the day with key planting features providing dappled shade. The planting selection will provide a calming balance of structure, neutral colours and movement.
