New Plant Releases

If you didn’t get the very latest plants at the Show, you can get in touch with our Floral Marquee nurseries direct to buy the new plant launches.

Heuchera ‘Megan’

Statement from the nursery below:

Megan has given us lots of help on the nursery over the years especially on our nursery open days where she is found chatting to customers and helping with tea and cakes.

This year she has also decided to step down from her role as a Vicar and so we would like to name this plant after her to say a big thanks for all her help and that she enjoys more time in the garden.

This is a beautiful plant that has lovely silvery foliage and produces an abundance of strong repeat flowering elegant - but large Mid Pink Flowers. Great for cutting and loved by the bees. We have had this on our nursery for 4 years and every year we comment on how lovely it is.

Statement from the nursery below:

Both the Streptocarpu and Begonia are bred on our nursery and come out of our extensive breeding program. We are world leaders in Streptocarpus and have started to do the same for foliage Begonias.

  • Streptocarpus 'Manon' A compact mass flowering variety with clear pale blue and cobalt blue flowers.
  • Begonia 'Rosy Jewel'  A compact medium leaved rex type Begonia.  The leaves are round and a bright pink, with a distinct swirl.

Floyds Climbers

olympiaFloyds Climbers are releasing the Clematis Olympia.

Foster’s Exotic and Unusual Plants (Rare - not a new plant release)

Foster’s Exotic will be bringing their rare and endangered succulent Euphorbia platycada to the Show.

It is on the red list of endangered species and is only found in a tiny part of South West Madagascar. It is not seen in cultivation due to its rarity and cannot be called the most attractive looking plant, but will be of interest to any avid collector.
