Plant Pyramid

2019 Highlights

A modern wonder of the gardening world

A modern wonder of the gardening world

The Plant Pyramid, supported by Peter Seabrook, returned to the Floral Marquee with four new satellite pyramids. The Pyramids played host to a monumental display of up to four thousand plants, all new introductions for either 2018 or 2019.

The Pyramid featured a brand-new clutch of Garvinea, the Garden Gerbera - the impressive flowers and its ability to grow in colder climates make Garvinea a flowering sensation. There was also a host of new plants including a new Echinacea, a Dianthus, a pot Alstroemeria and a garden Alstroemeria.

Other new varieties included Petunia x callibrachoa 'Beautical' and Nemesia ‘Lady Penelope’ a selection of pinks, crab apples, Laburnum ‘Yellow Rocket’, and Helianthus ‘Sunbelievable Brown Eyed Girl’.

The Plant Pyramid Stage

Set alongside this celebration of new plants, the all-new Pyramid Stage hosted informative talks and demos from breeders who contributed to the Plant Pyramid. In addition, experts from stage sponsors, Westland Horticulture, shared top tips for indoor gardening, and the British Florist Association demonstrated stunning floral displays for the home. Local Garden Centre staff including Fresh at Burcot were also in attendance. westlandBFA
