This tough competition, supported by the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL), is designed to champion young people and nurture emerging talent in the industry. Four of the country's best young landscapers, all aged under 28, will display their high-caliber skills as they build two challenging Show Gardens packed with landscaping elements.

We are delighted that award-winning garden designer Mark Gregory, of Landform consultants, has designed the two YLA show Gardens.

The contestants, who took the top four spots at the WorldSkills UK Landscaping finals, are:

TEAM A: Nick Bundy from Gadd Brothers, Suffolk (WorldSkills UK Gold) and Patrick Neild from Pershore College (WorldSkills UK Highly Commended)

TEAM B: Jamie Franklin from Wiltshire College (WorldSkills UK Silver) and Mark Brown from Ireland from CAFRE Greenmount Campus, Northern Ireland (WorldSkills UK Bronze)

The 2021 competition designs:

Team A - Nick and Patrick

Team B - Jamie and Mark
