Centre stage in the Floral Marquee, the House of Plants feature was a beautifully styled roomset to illustrate the incredible results that can be achieved with a range of houseplants.  Roomset designer Sam Theakstone and Joe Bagley, of UK Houseplants, were on hand to answer any manner of indoor gardening queries.

With houseplants known to improve our wellbeing, this feature was a striking place to find inspiration to make your indoors a greener place. The roomset  included space-savvy and creative ways to display your houseplants, with no space left un-adorned! Designed and styled with house plants at its core, this interior showcased the benefits of bringing the outside in.

To celebrate the BBC’s 100th anniversary, this year the House of Plants was inspired by Top of the Pops! and nodded to the 70’s era, trying to recreate the Boho/Retro designs of the time and showcasing a range of House plants used in the same era.

Using upcycling themes which included radios, TV’s and records, also platform boots to show plants in unusual settings.

The colour theme and styling took on the retro feel to help to recreate a fun home set/stage design of the time, with a nod to today’s trends
