Accessibility We welcome visitors with disabilities to The NEC for BBC Gardeners’ World Live. Guide, assistance and hearing dogs are admitted into the show. The NEC has male and female wheelchair accessible toilets.Please scroll below for more information about accessibility at the Show. Or, for more information about special assistance at the NEC, click here > Book tickets > Free carer tickets Any visitor who is registered disabled is able to book one free carer ticket when booking entry tickets. Please bring proof of eligibility with you to show on arrival such as a Blue Badge, Freedom Pass, DLA letter or PIP letter.A VIP ‘Carer Upgrade’ ticket option is available for those booking VIP Tickets who’d like their carer to receive VIP added benefits, including glass of fizz and goody bag.  Book today > Accessible theatres Spaces for wheelchair users, each with a dedicated carer seat, are available to book in the BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre.  A sign language interpreter will be present in the BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre on Thursday and Saturday. Times to be confirmed. Induction loops are fitted to Ticket sales points, Info points, the Organisers’ Office, Big Kitchen, BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre. Drop-in stages, including the Let’s Talk Plants Stage and Get Growing Stage, have open space to the sides and front which can be used by wheelchair users. Wheelchair and Scooter hire The NEC has mobility equipment available to hire on a first come, first serve basis. We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. If you have your own, and are able to, please bring it with you. Scooters cost £15 per hire. Pre-bookings will be held until 11am on the day, unless otherwise advised. Remaining stock will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Mobility equipment hire is only available during show open times and The NEC only accept payment by card. Email for scooter/wheelchair hire > Trains, cars and parking The train station is Birmingham International. Access to The NEC is via the skywalk, accessible to wheelchair users via ramps and lifts. The Atrium & piazza entrances have automatic doors.Book pre-paid parking in advance (until the night before the Show opens) to secure the best rates, including Blue Badge disabled parking. Blue Badge parking closer to the halls. Follow directions when you arrive at The NEC.Pre-paid parking will be available from February 2024, and all ticket holders will be notified when on sale.If you pay on the day, parking tickets are purchased from machines for presentation on exit of the car park. Shuttle buses operate between the car parks and the Show. How to find us For queries regarding parking or feedback, please contact the NEC here. Plan your journey in advance to make the most of your day out. The Show takes place at the NEC, Birmingham. Venue Address: NEC Birmingham, B40 1NT Getting here By car The NEC has numerous car parks that are more broadly categorised into North, East, South and West with over 20,000 onsite parking spaces. On your arrival at the NEC, traffic officers will direct you to the most convenient parking area for your event, however being such a large site with a number of entrances, it is recommended that you refer to The NEC Site Map before your arrival to avoid adding time to your journey. The NEC is well sign-posted from the M6 (J4), the M42 (J6), the A45, A446 & M1.If you’re planning to drive, we strongly advise to book pre-paid parking. We strongly advise to book pre-paid parking in advance of the Show (up until the night before the Show opens) to secure the best rates at £12.95, as on the day parking will be charged at £16.95. Pre-paid parking is available to book up to three months pre-Show. If you choose to pay on the day, tickets can be purchased from ticket machines during your visit and presented at the exit of the car park when you leave. On your arrival at the NEC, traffic officers will direct you to the most convenient parking area for your event, however being such a large site with a number of entrances, it is recommended that you refer to The NEC Site Map before your arrival to avoid adding time to your journey. The NEC is well sign-posted from the M6 (J4), the M42 (J6), the A45, A446 & M1.Disabled parking for any vehicles displaying a blue badge is available and situated close to the halls for easy access. Both standard and disabled pre-paid parking will be available. We highly recommend booking pre-paid parking in advance to secure the best rates. Pre-paid parking is £12.95. Pay on the day is £17.95. Pre-paid parking is available 3 months out from the show.If you choose to pay on the day, tickets can be purchased from ticket machines during your visit and presented at the exit of the car park when you leave. Shuttle buses operate between the car parks and the Show.Please visit https://www.thenec.co.uk/visitors/parking/ for more information. Do you have special rates for children? Children aged 0 – 5 are free every day. Children aged 6 – 17 prices can be seen on the Ticket Information page. Is there an age limit to enter the Show? Under 18s are admitted to the show accompanied by an adult. In accordance with the law, visitors aged under 18 are not permitted to purchase/sample alcoholic drink products or knives. It is the attending adult’s responsibility to ensure Under 18s are aware and comply with these laws for the duration of their visit to the show.  Are theatre tickets separate? BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre seats must be booked separately, in addition to your tickets. Have a look at our timetable here to find out who’s on when. Are dogs permitted to the Show? Dogs are not permitted to the Show, with the exception of Guide or Assistance Dogs. Emotional assistance dogs are not permitted. Will exhibitors accept cards? We recommend that exhibitors take card payments but cannot insist on it, so we would advise bringing cash to the Show as well. What is the Carbon Offset Donation? Immediate Live, organiser of the  BBC Gardeners’ World, is committed to reducing the carbon footprint of all its events.As part of this process, we’re giving our visitors the chance to make a voluntary donation to Ecologi to carbon offset part of their journey to our events.   Ecologi, a social enterprise who only fund carbon offsetting projects which meet the highest verification standards, such as Gold Standard or Verified Carbon Standard.Any donations, along with direct investment from Immediate Live, will be placed into certified carbon offset projects that reduce greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere, such as renewable energy which displace existing fossil fuel energy and conservation or humanitarian projects (e.g. providing clean water access).  Can I use National Garden Vouchers as payment at the Show? National Garden Gift Vouchers are not accepted as payment at the Show. They are reducing the amount of single use plastic in horticulture by using 100% natural wool.You’ll be able to take plants bought at the Show to Wool Pots’ Pot Swap, and exchange your pots with a sustainable option before leaving the Show.
