Designed by Rachel Glover
To Rachel, wild as a descriptive word brings to mind warm tropical exotic scents, glorious large leaved plants and hot houses which hold enormous trees and plants with colour and texture.
This border uses jungle like planting to create a show stopping impact with lush growth, colourful plants and flamboyant foliage, to transform the garden space into an equatorial oasis. Ferns, Hosta, Canna and Musa will be planted, enjoying the shade and growing in areas where natural light is deficient.
Incorporating this type of planting into a suburban living; especially courtyard or terrace gardens is increasingly beneficial for the insect population, while bringing a tropical twist to the garden. The choice of plants give constant colour to the garden throughout the seasons, exhibiting huge green leaves, architectural shapes and beautiful lines.
