School Wheelbarrow competition

Around the World in Thirty Barrows

Around the World in Thirty Barrows

For 2019, the ever-popular School Wheelbarrow Competition has a new theme, Around The World in Thirty Barrows.

Schools in the Midlands area are encouraged to look at the plants and gardens, as well as the architecture and cultures, of the world for their inspiration, creating a homage to their chosen land in the space of a barrow! From the Zen gardens of Japan to the intense patterns of Morocco, the bulbs of the Netherlands to the Alpine flora of Switzerland, each barrow will be a creative and colourful potted tribute to the countries of the world as seen through the eyes of the school children.
