Beautiful Borders The Beautiful Borders continue to be an annual visitor favourite at BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair as they display a variety of excellent designs, space savvy ideas, planting combinations and creative features that can be packed into a small garden. Garden design ideasIf you’re looking for inspiration for your garden, make a beeline for the Show Gardens in APL Avenue. All designed to typical back garden sizes,  you’ll be sure to go home with a multitude of great ideas that you can apply to your own space. Themed ‘A Very British Affair’, the 2021 designs were all infused with quintessentially British themes that have influenced the styles and planting ideas in each garden. Plant Village The outdoor Plant Village is a dedicated outdoor zone packed with more than 20 nurseries and growers to shop from.  You’ll be spoilt for choice with the range of beautiful plants on offer and are bound to leave with a handful of flowers and a head full of ideas. Plant Expert Tours These special half hour tours offer an informative viewing of the Audley End Organic Kitchen Gardens, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions – the perfect addition to any day at the Autumn Fair.Tours will take place with Lucy Chamberlain or Saul Walker, and Tamsin Westhorpe, joined by members of the English Heritage Gardens team.You can book a place when booking tickets, or you can add to an existing ticket now. ADD A TOUR TO YOUR BOOKING Meet the Plant Experts Saul Walker Saul Walker fell in love with horticulture through his Grandparents passion for visiting historic houses and gardens, and after a brief spell as an Archaeologist, he went to train and work as a Gardener for the National Trust at Antony House in Cornwall. Lucy Chamberlain Lucy was raised at her parents’ market garden in Essex, before venturing to further her horticultural education at Writtle and Wye colleges. With an Honours Degree in plant sciences she then worked at the Royal Horticultural Society Garden (RHS) Wisley.
